Busking For Suzuki In Schools

On Saturday over 40 students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 entertained passers-by in Notting Hill's Portobello Road.

We even welcomed some former students who came to join in the fun! This was the first year that our cellists joined our violinists, adding another dimension to this annual event.

Busking is a great motivator for the students as they benefit from the appreciation shown by the public for their efforts. Grade 3 is learning about money at present and their teachers seized the opportunity for practising their skills in context and counted the collection for us. The event raised precisely £438.48 for Suzuki in Schools - a charity which funds students in other schools, who do not have the necessary resources to study Suzuki.
