Ex-Student Founds Innovative Music Project

26 August 2009

One of our very active and creative ex-students, Benji aka "Marwood", is working on an innovative project helping independent music artists.

Pledge Music was set up with the triple noble causes of funding recordings, enabling artists to keep their rights while raising money for charity at the same time.

Marwood is going to pilot the scheme with one of his own recordings, so he is currently looking to raise at least $5000.

He explains further: "This will cover the recording, mixing, mastering and manufacture my new EP which is tentatively entitled Another Last Goodbye. I will donate 25% of all my profits from the record to Amnesty International, a charity that is very close to my heart, for the life of the project. Basically by pledging towards my goal of $5000 you will in effect become my record label and as such I will be making this record for you! And the best bit is that you won't be charged a penny unless at least $5000 is reached."

There are a variety of stimulating ways for donors to be fully involved, from house concerts and singing lessons, to signed stuff and even having your own show.

If you would like to join Marwood on his journey into the musical unknown, share this story and/or this link: http://www.facebook.com/l/;www.pledgemusic.com/artists/marwood
