16 December 2009Last Friday, Southbank Kensington held the first of our home language town meetings (assemblies).
During this session, the students worked with other speakers of their own language, from different classes and grades, to produce a small poster showing a word from their own language that reminds them of, or represents, winter. They were encouraged to use their home languages within their groups, and were excited by the opportunity. For the teachers involved, it was great to see the students showing their linguistic expertise, and to watch them supporting each other. The results of their work are on display in reception.
