14 May 2009In order to promote internationalism and get to know our neighbours a bit better, we organised an extracurricular "games afternoon" involving some of the girls from Queen's College Prep School.
Together with the Southbank girls in Grade 7 they played traditional games from all over the world and enjoyed different snacks also representing different cultures and countries kindly supplied by Southbank's PTA. The games included:
Mikado (Europe)
Chinese Chequers (Asia)
Kujenga (Africa)
Mancala (Africa)
Ti-Rakau (Australasia)
Perudo (South America)
Scrabble (with a linguistic twist: North America).
