Silver Medal for Southbank Swimmer
29 January 2010A Southbank Westminster student achieved second place at an international swimming competition.
Competing at various distances in both freestyle and butterfly strokes, Reut Benaim gained a silver medal in the under-17 100m butterfly event at the three-day Geneva Long Course International meeting on January 15-17.
Reut was competing for London against French, German, Italian and Swiss cities. Her time of 1:04.38 was a personal best under the new international specifications for swimwear, which eliminate artificial assistance to the swimmer.
