Diploma Programme 16-18yrs
This programme for students from 16-18/19 is increasingly being adopted by British schools as the depth and breadth of this two-year programme is now recognised and respected almost universally. It provides a rigorous pre-university curriculum with additional extra-curricular requirements that enables graduates to gain admission to the most selective universities all over the world.
As in the earlier IB programmes, the Diploma emphasises critical thinking as well as action.
Underpinning the Diploma Programme is the learner profile. Students are taught to become; inquirers, thinkers, communicators, risk-takers, and to be knowledgeable, principled, caring, open-minded, balanced and reflective. Our students develop these attributes throughout their school experience, within and outside the classroom.
Southbank's classes are organised slightly differently from some other school systems. Click here to see our class organisation compared to other systems.
