A Green Poem

A Green Poem

13 January 2010

Grade 3-F at Southbank Hampstead have collectively written a poem about the colour green. Each student wrote one of the lines:

Green
Green is my sister Keiko's favourite colour.
Green like the fresh new grass.
Green like a sour lime making my tongue tingle.
Green like leaves that turn carbon dioxide to oxygen.
Green is like the watery spring.
Green like the stem of a pretty flower.
Green like the dappled light falling on the forest floor.
Green like the trees I like to climb.
Green like a bright marker pen.
Green like a shiny yummy apple.
Green like nature in the warm summer forest.
Green like the thick yummy cucumber I like to eat.
Green like half the earth looking from the moon.
Green like the green top where I like to play football.
Green like the inspiring colour on the Brazilian flag.
Green like SHREK a movie I like to watch.
Green like the Bulgarian National flag.
