Adventure in Quebec
22 February 2008Students from Southbank Westminster braved temperatures of minus 30 degrees Celsius to experience a week of French/Canadian culture.
12 students from Grades 6 to 9 went on a ski trip to Quebec during the February half-term. As well as skiing, the students enjoyed snow sculpting, a horse-drawn sleigh ride, traditional storytelling, Quebecian songs, tubing, curling, and of course, snowball fights!
Accompanying teacher Lisa Gibson said: "This was a fantastic opportunity for the students to create new friendships and to learn to ski on a terrain which is quite different to that in Europe. They also learnt a lot about Quebecian culture."
