Bake Sale for Cancer Research

On the 19th and 20th of November, class 8DSA had a delicious bake sale to fundraise for Cancer Research.

They chose to fundraise for Cancer Research because many of the students had been affected in some way by cancer.

Cancer Research UK is one of the largest funders of cancer research in the world and supports research in over 35 towns across the UK.

Everyone in the class brought in something to sell - cupcakes, brownies, cookies, cakes and more. They sold the items at break-time while other students sold T-shirts, and raffle tickets.

One of the students commented: "This bake sale taught us to give to those who need it most, and that fundraising can be fun. We'd like to thank everyone who contributed to our bake sale - we hope you liked our desserts! In the end, we raised over £300."
