Busking for Charity

12 December 2008

On a chilly Saturday on Portobello Road, Southbank students (supported by their families) braved the weather to busk in support of the Suzuki in Schools Project.

Southbank Kensington Principal, Judith Kingsbury, said: "It is very easy to forget in a school such as ours, where nearly everyone plays the violin and cello, how special it is to be able to play an instrument. I was very proud of the children and the enthusiasm and confidence they showed whilst performing in public. I am sure that all those who played will have enjoyed the day and be even more motivated to continue their daily practice."

Through their efforts, the Southbank violinists raised more than £400.
