Carbon Challenge Road Show
27 January 2009Grade 6 and 7 students have participated in a Carbon Challenge Road Show.
This was a high-impact Science and Maths workshop where students worked together over a two-hour session to examine the School's carbon footprint and learn about carbon reduction through a variety of activities using film, websites, interactive calculators, 3D-style mats and other visual material.
The Carbon Challenge Road Show has been developed by teachers to inspire and motivate secondary school students around the subjects of Science, Maths and the Environment.
Head of Science, Lori Fritz, commented: "This was a highly enjoyable and informative morning for the students. They have had a real insight into carbon emissions and understand our collective responsibility to reduce them."
