Friendly Football
25 November 2008On November 24, Southbank's two primary schools met each other in a friendly football tournament.
Southbank Hampstead and Southbank Kensington travelled to Kensington Leisure Centre for Grade 2/3 and Grade 4/5 games. Hampstead dominated the Grade 2/3 match in the first half but Kensington came back in the second half and the match ended in a 2-2 draw. The Grade 4/5 match was also evenly matched and exciting. Hampstead scored a late goal and the match ended 4-3 to Hampstead.
After the games, the students chose their "players of the match" for displaying the best sportsmanship.
The return matches at Hampstead takes place on December 1 and 2.
