Grade 2 Helping the Environment
27 November 2009Under the guidance of a keen parent, Southbank Kensington’s Grade 2 students have been taking action to help the environment. The students raised money during the summer holidays to donate forest trees to Holland Park (one of London’s hidden-gems which is close to the school). The group will see their efforts come to fruition at a special tree-planing ceremony at the woodland enclosures in December. This coincides with National Tree Week (1-6 December). The children will be supported by tree specialists and the local press have been invited to attend by the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea who own the park.
