Grade 5 composers
01 March 2008Grade 5 from Hampstead went to watch the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican this month and now they're being composers themselves.
The students had spent time in class preparing for this concert on February 29 which highlighted composers from the Romantic period including Debussy, Ravel, Britten and Copland.
The class is now working on a new arrangement of Debussy's Fetes, using acoustic instruments. They will also be illustrating this composition in the same fashion by painting an impressionistic style score.
