Leading Educator Visits Southbank
05 December 2008Charlotte Danielson, a well-known figure in the world of international education, came to visit Southbank Hampstead this month.
Charlotte was taken on a detailed tour of the School by two Student Council representatives. She was then interviewed by the Grade 4 students about her beliefs and pedagogy and why she joined the education profession. Their deep and insightful questions and comments certainly made Charlotte think and ponder deeply. In one class, Charlotte turned around one of the students' questions and asked the class: what are your impressions of Southbank? Here are some of their answers:
"Southbank is a caring place"
"It is a place where everyone can learn and find skills they're good at"
"Everyone at Southbank has respect for everyone"
"At Southbank everyone appreciates each other"
"At Southbank everyone is treated as an individual"
Charlotte was very impressed with our students and commented on how they will be the leaders of the future.
