Life-long learning at Southbank

23 September 2008

Southbank has a long history of promoting lifelong learning, as highlighted in our mission statement.

We encourage our students to learn for life, our parent body to come and find out more about our programmes and life at our School. Our teachers are also encouraged to continue their learning journey and refine their best practise and visit other schools and attend conferences.

Over the coming weeks a number of Hampstead and Kensington staff will be joining other colleagues from the European, Middle Eastern and African International Baccalaureate Schools in Istanbul from 24th-26th September to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the Primary Years Programme.

Other staff will be attending the IB Regional Conference in Marrakesh from October 6th-9th. They will be joined by over 700 other IB teachers and administrators to collaborate, reflect and inspire one another and of course bring back good ideas for us to implement here at Southbank.

We wish them safe travels and can't wait to hear of their new learning when they return to London.
