Making Music in Brussels

10 March 2008

Hours of practice paid off when Kensington students performed at a Suzuki concert in Brussels.

The students gave performances for students at the British School of Brussels, and for their parents and the families of fellow Suzuki students from Brussels in the music room in the British Ambassador's residence. On Saturday 8 March, they honed their skills at master classes and "play togethers" in the Brussels Suzuki Hall before sharing what they had learned in a concert at the end of the day.

Other highlights of the trip included arriving at the top of the Belfry in Bruges just as the 47 bells started to play, visiting the Museum of Musical Instruments and of course the chocolate shops!

"I was so proud of our students," said Principal Judith Kingsbury. "Their confidence, enthusiasm and mastery of the pieces they played were wonderful to see."
