Pyjama Day

12 March 2009

There was an odd sight around Netherhall Gardens today as Hampstead students and teachers arrived at school in their pyjamas!

The Student Council came up with the fundraising idea and asked people to donate £1 for the privilege of wearing their PJs for the day.

Principal Helen O'Donoghue (who also wore her pyjamas!), said: "It was a great day, but most notable to me was the reason behind it. When I asked the children they really knew what they were fundraising for and having fun at the same time."

The school raised over £300 for Kids for Kids - the school's nominated charity which helps children in Darfur, Sudan.
