Southbank Hosts International Maths Contest
02 May 2008Southbank Westminster hosted the ISMTF International Middle School Maths Competition during the last weekend of April.
35 families hosted the 100 visiting students, aged between 11 and 14, from American School of London; American Cooperative School of Tunis; American School of Madrid; Benjamin Franklin International School, Spain; Berlin Brandenburg International School; Danube International School; Haut Lac International Bilingual School; International School of Basel; International School of Brussels; International School of Helsingborg; International School of Lausanne; International Secondary School Eindhoven; Munich International School; Rabat American School; St. Georges School, Switzerland; The Frankfurt International School and Vienna International School.
The event was a huge success made possible by the energy, efforts and hospitality of many people -especially the teachers, students, PTA, host families, students who competed, and the Maths Department.
The competition featured rounds and rounds of maths questions and puzzles on the Saturday and Sunday. Southbank teams came 4th and 8th ... both in the top 25%.
