Students Spot Sarkozy
18 June 2010French President Nicolas Sarkozy visited the BBC's Broadcasting House to mark the 70th anniversary of General De Gaulle's wartime broadcasts from Britain.
As Southbank Westminster is only a stone's throw from the building on Portland Place, our G10 EAL students strolled over to see if they could spot the President on this historic occasion.
EAL teacher, Ruth Campbell said: "We were the only 'tourists' there, along with all the camera men from the press and TV and we were able to get a great view of the President and his wife. We were also caught on camera ourselves and appeared on the BBC news and on French Euronews - my friend in Cannes texted me to say she had seen me!"
