Teachers as Role Models
19 March 2008Our Grade 5 teachers are role models to all as they take action on real-life world issues.
Marie-Christine Hunter is running the London Marathon on Sunday April 13 for Heart UK - a foundation that aims to provide awareness about the risk of high cholesterol and heart disease.
Edwina Hammond is part of a team of women who have climbed three mountains in Africa to raise money and awareness for the three key issues currently facing Africa: environment, education and health. Their adventure was filmed and recently won an adventure film award in Colorado, USA. It premiered at the Royal Geographical Society in South Kensington on Wednesday March 19.
