Writing Response

One of last year's Grade 10 English assignments was to respond creatively to an article from The Independent by writer/journalist Anna Pavord.

The article called ‘Lost for Words' was about writers losing their work. The students produced some excellent creative pieces and Southbank's English teacher Vivien Hall decided to send a selection to Ms. Pavord.

The students were delighted to receive a response stating: "Thank you for sending me the creative writing produced by your students at Southbank International School. They were very impressive in the imaginative inhabiting they displayed. A joy. Best wishes Anna Pavord."
