MAINTENANCE PERSON:  A position will shortly arise at our Kensington campus and a key part of the role is ensuring that the facilities are safe for students, staff, and visitors. A preventive maintenance programme needs to be followed and all operational and/or safety concerns will need to be resolved swiftly. It will also be necessary to drive between the school's four sites on a daily basis so a clean driving licence is important.

LANGUAGE TEACHERS: In September 2010 we will have vacancies for the following part-time language and literature teachers - Hebrew, Hindi, Czech and Danish. If you are a qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who has a passion for teaching one of these languages to our students , we would like to hear from you. Experience teaching the IB MYP or Diploma Progrmmae will be an advantage for applicants.

EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER:
 We require a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Teacher who can model the IB Learner Profile to join us in September 2010.

The successful applicant will have experience working in a team in a school setting. The teacher we are looking for will be a key member of our Early Childhood Team and will:

- contribute positively to the daily life of our school

- work collaboratively in a team

- provide well planned and engaging classes (differentiated where appropriate)

- observe and evaluate the progress of each child according to EYFS guidelines

- create an engaging, stimulating and relevant learning environment using displays and classroom organisation.

Experience teaching in an Early Years Foundation Stage setting, enthusiasm and a commitment to professional development are essential whilst experience of the IB Primary Years Programme and First Aid training are desirable.


EARLY CHILDHOOD (PRE-SCHOOL) CLASS ASSISTANT:
 We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our Early Childhood/Pre-School Team (ages 3 to 5) from September. 

We will only consider applications which show evidence of a NNEB/ NVQ Level 3 in Early Years (or equivalent level qualification). Prior experience of working with children in the age range of 3 to 5 years is also essential. A working knowledge of EYFS and relevant First Aid training are preferred. This is a full-time position and the hours follow normal school hours.

Some of the tasks involved with the role include:

- contributing positively to the daily life of our school to enhance the learning experience for our students
- working collaboratively in a team
- supporting the class teacher to provide well planned and engaging lessons
- observing and evaluating the progress of each child according to EYFS guidelines
- helping to create an engaging, stimulating and relevant learning environment using displays and classroom organisation.

 

KINDERGARTEN (AGES 5 & 6) CLASS ASSISTANT - For September we require a full-time teaching assistant to offer in-class support to the class teacher and help students in all areas of the international curriculum we follow. 

Some of the tasks involved include:
assisting with the preparation of the learning environment eg wall displays and specific activities in line with the units of inquiry;
planning learning activities with the class teacher;
assisting with the development of support materials;
maintaining pupil records;
helping with the assessment of pupils' progress;
supporting children in small groups;
liaising with parents in conjunction with the class teacher.

Previous experience working in a classroom environment is essential as is a relevant NVQ (at least level 2) or HLTA qualification.
