The Kensington School Day begins at 0840. Early Childhood students go directly to their classes on arrival. Kindergarten to Grade 5 students go to the Garden on arrival. Teachers come to the Garden at 0840 and take students to classrooms. Throughout the day various specialist classes are interspersed with time in the regular classroom. The school day ends at 1520 every day except Wednesdays at 1430 to allow for teacher in-service. Three year old students have a three hour day from 0840 to 1200. All classes have a 20 minute break some time during the morning. Lunch includes time for eating and a play break; grade 1 to 5 visiting a local park facility once a week. There are various optional after-school activities offered for students daily (for Kindergarten to Grade 5).
