Students in grades 6-10 follow the MYP curriculum which is organised around a rigorous and thorough study of eight traditional subject areas:

Language A: English
Language B: Modern Languages (French & Spanish) / Languages for Native Speakers
Humanities: History & Geography
Science
Mathematics
Creative Arts: Drama, Visual Arts, Music
Technology
Physical Education

Five ideas known as Areas of Interaction link the subject areas. An understanding of these themes helps students to see connections between the separate subjects and to understand the relationship between their academic studies and the real world.
The five Areas of Interaction are:
1. approaches to learning (concerning effective study skills)
2. community and service
3. health and social education
4. environments
5. human ingenuity (concerning creativity and problem solving).

For a more detailed insight into the curriculum read the MYP Curriculum Guide.
