Grade 11 Trip to Tanzania

Following last year’s successful trip to and fund raising for Tanzania, on Thursday 12 February a group of 50 Grade 11 students and staff left London for Dar es Salaam to help in a small primary school there. By all accounts everyone is enjoying a marvellous trip. The students have been very busy, honing their DIY skills, and refurbishing and painting various classrooms, including adding some lovely murals to the walls. As well as planting a new garden there have also been a number of opportunities to play games with the primary school students, and to help them with their English and Maths lessons. Some of our students have had the opportunity to explore the town of Iringa and everyone is looking forward to going on safari.

To find out what our students get up to next, follow our News and Events updates on Facebook and Twitter where a range of other activities across our three Southbank campuses may be tracked.
