Edible Courtyard at Southbank Hampstead

Our new “Edible Courtyard” at Southbank Hampstead is proving to be very popular – not only does it provide an attraction for nature, but also a perfect opportunity for some outdoor observational drawing for our students. Last term, for example, our Grade 2 students successfully nurtured caterpillars into pupae, and this week the butterflies have emerged and been released. Moreover, spring blossoms that appeared on our apple trees a few days ago make our young gardeners hopeful for our first crop of apples in the autumn. What a promising start to the summer term!
