We understand that sometimes you have to move with very little notice, and relocation may not occur at the beginning of a new academic year. So, at Southbank, we have a rolling admissions process, which means we accept applications all year round. As part of our IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), we offer our Early Childhood curriculum. Through inquiry-based learning and play, it aims to engage and stimulate young students and nurture their academic, personal and social development. The programme engages young students and fosters their development as individuals, both in the classroom and in the world outside. The programme is a broad, balanced curriculum that promotes self-esteem, encourages curiosity and develops problem-solving skills through sustained interactive play.
Southbank’s Primary Years Programme creates a stimulating and challenging environment that nurtures a child’s natural curiosity, their creativity and ability to reflect while helping them to develop a lifelong love of learning. At the heart of the Programme are six themes of global significance. These are explored using skills and knowledge acquired from six subject areas, as well as during town meetings, (assemblies), in the playground and from participating in extra-curricular activities.
We strongly believe our International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) provides the education students aged between 11 and 16 need at this stage of their life. This is achieved through rigorous study of eight traditional subject areas and six global contexts, as well as participation in extra-curricular activities and community work.
Our Diploma Programme (DP) is a challenging two-year course for 16–19-year-olds that is the gold standard of international education. The aim of the DP is to equip students with all the necessary skills and qualities to study at the world’s top universities while also fulfilling their personal and academic potential. This is achieved through an absorbing and holistic curriculum that’s focused on expanding knowledge, developing critical thinking skills and helping creativity and individuality flourish.
As parents you will rightly consider the cost of sending your child to private school. Here at Southbank International School, we understand that parents want flexibility in the way they pay their fees. There are different options available to parents, from paying termly in advance by direct debit or if you would like even greater flexibility, monthly through the School Fee Plan.
Our school is part of Cognita which is an extraordinary family of diverse yet connected schools, spanning ten different countries. We share one common purpose: to create an inspiring world of education that builds self-belief and empowers individuals to succeed. Together, we provide a uniquely global education that goes beyond grades to develop all-round academic excellence – building resilient minds and encouraging positive, international perspectives. We do this by sharing expertise, insights and best practice across the world – and by collaborating to develop rich learning environments in every school. We equip young people with the confidence and resourcefulness that prepares them to grow, thrive and find their success in a fast-changing world.
