Hearty congratulations to our class of 2016 for their excellent IB results. This is a culmination of 2 years of intense dedication from students and staff, and one must not forget the all important support of Southbank parents.

  • Our average diploma score was 35
  • The world average is around 29
  • A quarter of Southbank students achieved a Bilingual Diploma, a testament to the truly international nature of our community
  • In 2016 a record number of Southbank students achieved 40 points or higher with 22% of our students in this bracket, putting them in the top 7% of students worldwide.
  • 11% of our students achieved 42 points or above, putting
them in the top 3% of students worldwide.
  • 1 student gained 44 points, a feat achieved by only 0.6%
    of students worldwide.

We wish all our students well as they take up their places at top Universities worldwide, including Cambridge, Columbia, Harvard, Imperial, McGill, NYU, Oxford,  Penn State, UCL, UCLA and  many more.

We are extremely proud of our IB results. Assessing our applicants’ academic performance and potential without using entrance exams has yielded IB scores that challenge those of the UK’s top selective independent and Grammar schools.

Further details of university placement will be published once candidates have confirmed acceptance of their offers.
