G3 – G5 students learn about sustainability at Kensington
Last week our Grade 3 to 5 students attended a number of educational sessions at the Kensington campus that were designed to help students learn more about issues that are currently affecting the Earth. One of the sessions observed by students demonstrated how they can produce natural organic foods, while another was related to sustainability in today’s culture held in the IT room. Students were encouraged to take action by writing a letter to the Prime Minster. They also hung balloons from the beautiful blossoming tress in the outdoor garden space, each with messages about their hopes and dreams for the future. The students felt empowered writing to the Prime Minster about some of the issues they learned throughout the sessions.
