The International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) is taught at our Westminster campus and aims to meet the educational needs of students between the ages of 11 and 16.
Young people at this stage of their education require an engaging and holistic curriculum that is relevant to the important real world issues that concern them – from the personal to global.
Students need to become experts at learning; the ability to locate, process, critically evaluate and communicate information is essential.
As members of an international community, they need to develop intercultural awareness and an understanding of the history and traditions that underlie cultural identity.
The MYP curriculum is organised around a rigorous and thorough study of eight traditional subject areas, including Language and Literature (English or another mother tongue) and Language Acquisition (French or Spanish).
