Students in Grades 6-8 study integrated science. In Grade 9 and 10, students study Biology, Chemistry and Physics as separate subjects.
The MYP Science programme provides a sound foundation for scientific knowledge with a strong emphasis on scientific inquiry and investigative and analytical skills.
The curriculum encourages students to reflect on the social and ethical implications of science and provides them with the skills to communicate their understanding.
The Global Contexts encourage students to link their knowledge of science to real world issues, to develop awareness that the applications of science may be both beneficial and detrimental, and to develop an understanding of the scientific methods and the ways in which scientific discoveries are made.
