The Southbank School Journey

Primary Years

From ages 3 to 11

Students are encouraged to become: inquirers, thinkers, communicators, risk-takers, and to be knowledgeable, principled, caring, open-minded, balanced and reflective. They develop these attributes within the classroom, during Town Meetings (assemblies), in the playground, and while participating in Southbank’s many extracurricular activities.

Middle Years Programme

From ages 11 to 16

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) is taught at our Westminster campus and aims to meet the educational needs of students between the ages of 11 and 16.

Young people at this stage of their education require an engaging and holistic curriculum that is relevant to the world around them.

Diploma Programme

From ages 16 to 18/19

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme encourages students to ask challenging questions, learn how to think, develop a strong sense of their own identity and culture, and communicate with people from other countries and cultures.

It prepares students for the next stage in their education and the qualification is widely-recognised by the world’s leading universities.

University Destinations

Southbank International School is rightly proud of its excellent record in guiding its students to successful applications to university and college.

Southbank’s excellent IB Diploma results have ensured that our students have secured places at the world’s most prestigious universities such as: University of Cambridge*, St Andrews UniversityLSE (London School of Economics & Political Science)Stanford University, and Harvard University among others.
