We are proud to announce that this academic year, Eleonor Rosa has received the Milton Toubkin Scholarship at Southbank International School. From the very beginning of her application journey, Eleonor saw Southbank not only as an educational institution but as a space to unlock her full potential, stretch her thinking, and explore her creativity.

Upon learning she had been awarded the scholarship, Eleonor described her reaction as “delight”, an emotion that has blossomed since joining the school. “Southbank represented opportunity,” she shared. “It’s a place where I can truly express myself and challenge my thinking.”

Eleonor has fully embraced the opportunities available at Southbank, from engaging with the cultural life of central London to exploring new interests through extracurricular activities. “I love having access to local cafés and libraries, but even more, I’m inspired by the ambitious and hard-working people around me,” she said.

What excites her most about Southbank is its ethos of independence, open-mindedness, and critical thinking. These values are deeply embedded in the IB Diploma Programme. She’s already looking forward to experiences like the upcoming service trip to Kenya, as well as unique community events like International Night, which celebrates global cultures and cuisines.

“Southbank is helping shape not just my education, but also how I view the world and my place within it,” she reflected. In just a short time, Eleonor has discovered new passions joining extracurricular activities like Model UN, Politics and Economics, and even trying out tennis for the first time. A long-time volleyball player, she’s also thrilled to continue that passion here.

As she continues her academic journey, Eleonor is most excited about the growth still to come. “I’m developing confidence in creating and seizing opportunities and in embracing challenges. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

We are glad to have Eleonor as part of the Southbank community, and we look forward to witnessing all she will accomplish.
