Diploma Programme Scholarship

The Milton Toubkin DP Scholarship

Our Diploma Programme Scholarship at Westminster
*The application process for our scholarship for the 2023/2024 academic year is now CLOSED.
The aim of our scholarship

Named after Milton Toubkin, one of Southbank’s founders, the aim of our scholarship is to enable a gifted and deserving student to pursue the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at Southbank International School.

The scholarship is a two-year award, dependent on a student’s sustained performance and progression, and begins in Grade 11 and finishes in Grade 12, when a student graduates.

Scholarship award

What our scholarship covers

The scholarship award covers up to 100% of the school’s tuition fees and up to 50% of the school’s capital development fees for the duration of the scholarship programme.

During the two years of the Diploma Programme, a scholarship student’s family will still be wholly responsible for any other financial commitments, which include, but are not limited to, the £2,000 refundable deposit, annual PTA (Parent Teacher Association) fees, cost of residential events, and the IB Diploma exam fees.

Candidates must be living at home with at least one family member and must be available for an interview. Interviews will be conducted via Google Meet.

Eligibility

Eligibility and selection criteria

The scholarship is aimed at new students, which means currently enrolled or former students of Southbank International School are not eligible.

For the duration of the Diploma Programme, the scholarship student must have the appropriate immigration status to be enrolled at the school, and have a reasonable daily commute between home and school.

Every applicant wishing to be considered for a scholarship must fully meet or exceed all of the following criteria:
  • Above average academic achievement and potential;

  • Evidence of extra-curricular interests and activities;

  • Commitment to Southbank and the International Baccalaureate curriculum;

  • Commitment to qualities and behaviours consistent with the IB learner profile;
