Welcome to Southbank International School
We are London's leading International Baccalaureate (IB) School, offering a different approach to academic excellence for children aged 2*-18
At our Central London campuses in Hampstead, Kensington and Westminster, we nurture talent, celebrate individuality and develop curious, inquisitive and constantly challenging minds. Our students consistently achieve outstanding results and first-choice university offers.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) program is enjoyed by both international learners and those who have not previously studied the IB, including children moving over from private primary or secondary schools. The IB aims to do more than other curricula. It builds students critical thinking skills, nurtures their curiosity and their ability to solve complex problems.
Through a commitment to academic excellence and a uniquely liberal ethos, the IB also develops students with an inner belief in themselves. Southbank students have an openness to the outside world and a desire to give back to communities on a local, national and global level.

IB Diploma Results at a Glance
We are proud to share the exceptional results of our graduating Class of 2025 in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
This year, 75 students completed the full Diploma. Their results reflect the hard work, intellectual ambition, and commitment that characterise a Southbank education.
These outcomes place Southbank among the leading IB schools globally. Just as importantly, they reflect the strength of our inclusive, student-centred approach – where academic achievement is balanced with critical thinking, creativity, and global awareness.
We congratulate all our students and thank our dedicated teachers, staff, and families for their continued support.
A different approach to academic excellence.
"A school for students who think differently, challenge confidently, dream bigger, question more, explore further."

Did you know trampoline athletes can bounce as high as a double-decker bus? 🚍⬆️
Or that the G-force at the bottom of a bounce can be over 15x your bodyweight?
Meet one of our talented Grade 6 students who’s been training hard in both gymnastics and trampolining, learning routines, preparing for competitions, and mastering skills like the double half out and full double back.
He trains at Camden Talacre Sports Centre and loves the balance between discipline and fun. With music, social sessions, and coaches who inspire — it’s more than just bouncing around.
As his next competition approaches, he’s working on height, control, and new goals — because in trampoline, there’s always something to level up.

A must-watch for fans of action, racing, and redemption arcs — best viewed in IMAX for full throttle immersion.
🔹 Jurassic World: Rebirth (July 2 – 12)
The dinosaurs are back — and this time, it’s a fresh take. You don’t need to have seen the previous films to enjoy this one. Scarlett Johansson leads a team on a mission to recover dangerous genetic material, uncovering buried secrets along the way. Big names, big action, and plenty of suspense.
🔹 Fantastic Four: First Steps (July 25 – 12)
Marvel reimagines the iconic team in a 1960s-inspired adventure. 📚 Summer Reads from the Portland Place Library! ✨
As we head into the break, our fantastic librarian Erin Patel at Southbank Westminster – Portland Place Campus has curated a powerful and inspiring selection of summer reads for our students. As always, this is a bespoke service — because no two readers are the same, and the right book can make all the difference.
Here are Erin’s top picks for meaningful and memorable summer reading:
🔥 Wild East by Ashley Hickson-Lovence
Ashley visited Southbank earlier this term, and his verse novel is already resonating with students. A fast-paced and deeply emotional story inspired by the author’s own experience of losing a best friend at 16 — raw, moving, and unforgettable.
👑 King of Nothing by Nathaniel Lessore
Shortlisted for the Carnegie Award, this witty and thought-provoking novel follows Anton as he navigates masculinity, identity, and choice. A hilarious and heartfelt antidote to the usual tropes around teenage boys.
💸 Girls That Invest by Simran Kaur
An empowering read that breaks down the basics of financial literacy and investing — encouraging young women to take control of their financial futures and challenge the stereotypes that hold them back.
Thank you, Erin, for always offering thoughtful, tailored support to our students — and helping them discover books that matter. 🌟📘
