Head of Admissions and Marketing
Charlene joined the Admissions team in November 2019. Charlene focused her career working in the education sector having worked in both Further Education and Higher Education. Prior to starting at Southbank Charlene worked for a number of universities including Kingston University and Regent’s University where she was responsible for the marketing department. She has also worked for the NHS heading up the Admissions and Marketing department for Tavistock and Portman Foundation Trust, one of the only Trust to delivery Postgraduate education.

Nikki joined the Admissions team in March 2018, after completing a BA (Hons) degree in History at the University of Essex and then a master’s degree in Human Rights and Cultural Diversity. She has extensive experience in customer service, with a particular interest in the education sector. Nikki was raised in London but has also regularly spent time in Nigeria, France and Norway.

Alexandra joined the Admissions team in July 2017. She has a BA Honours Degree in Modern Languages from the University of Birmingham and during her third year of study she lived and studied in France, Spain and Italy. After graduating she taught English in Spain and then went on to work and travel in Australia for a year. Prior to joining Southbank, Alexandra worked in international student recruitment, admissions and marketing at an international school in Cambridge.

Angela joined the Admissions Team in July 2020. Angela gained a BSc in Food Science and has an extensive career in marketing and market research. Angela has enjoyed over 20 years as part of international school communities in Singapore, Tanzania, Belgium, China and the UK.

Marketing and Communications Manager
Maria joined the Admissions team in November 2017. She comes from a family of educators and has spent time in South America and Cyprus, where her family are originally from. Prior to working at Southbank, Maria spent nine years in the Brand team at the charity Macmillan Cancer Support. Maria has a BA (Hons) degree in Media Studies (TV) and a Chartered Institute of Marketing certificate in Professional Marketing.
