Grade 11 students visit King’s College
A few days ago, our Grade 11 students took part in a personalised taster day at King’s College London. They were given a talk by academic staff on admissions to competitive universities followed by a tour of the university by current students. During the tour they visited a number of areas of the university including the fascinating Gordon Museum of Pathology which is the largest medical museum in the UK, containing some rare medical artefacts – the museum is not normally open to the public. After the tour they took part in a bespoke ‘hands on’ subject fair where they spoke to medics, biologists, psychologists and even got a chance to race toy cars using only their brainwaves.
